70th Explorers:

New Squad!

Just announced on the 501st page – the 70th Explorers have a new sub unit, the Gateway Squad, which will be based out of the St. Louis area and the eastern section of Missouri. The name is taken from the iconic structure in the city.
Squads, for those of you who don’t know, are smaller units under a garrison, instituted where there’s a small grouping of people who might be somewhat isolated from the rest of the garrison. A squad is formed with a bunch of votes from the Legion council, and once an area receives ten members.
My hope is that someday, we’ll have the numbers in Vermont to start our own squad – The Green Mountain Squad has a nice ring to it. Unfortunately, we only have 2 active troopers in the state at the moment. 8 more to go!
